The left's own words reveal hypocrisy and dishonesty (LTTE)
This guy apparently is one of those that can't handle the truth. It's staring him in the face and he is having a problem with it? What is so outrageous is that people like him are defending what this administration is doing and condone the corruption and killing as something good.

The left's own words reveal hypocrisy and dishonesty

Karl Rove has taken many hits from Democrats since he made some comments about the reaction of liberals to 9/11. Sen. Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton and Frank Lautenberg quickly held a press conference to demand that Rove apologize or resign. This came shortly after Dick Durbin had compared the American guards at Guantanemo Bay to those at the Nazi concentration camps, Soviet gulags and Pol Pot's death camps. Typically, no Democrat in Congress denounced Durbin's betrayal or asked that he apologize for his offensive remarks.

Howard Dean has made a number of outrageous statements, since he has become DNC chairman, for which no apology has come. Here are a few:

"I hate Republicans and everything they stand for." "Republicans never made an honest living in their lives." "Republicans are brain dead." "They're a White Christian party." "Their government is big enough to fit inside Terri Schaivo's bed." "This country is weak on defense."

Moveon.org posted this quote on their website on Sept. 13, 2001:

"We appeal to President Bush and all leaders internationally to use moderation and restraint in responding to the recent terrorist attacks against the United States. We implore the powers that be to use, whenever possible, international judicial and human rights law to bring to justice those responsible for the attacks rather than the instruments of war, violence or destruction."

Liberal icon Michael Moore, who sat at the right hand of Jimmy Carter at the 2004 Democratic Convention, said on 9-12, "We abhor terrorism unless we're the ones doing the terrorizing. We paid, trained and armed a group of terrorists in Nicaragua who killed over 30,000 civilians. Let's examine our contributions to the unsafe world we live in." "To bomb Afghanistan, I've never understood this."

Here are some more quotes from the left:

George Soros: "War is a false and misleading metaphor in the context of combatting terrorism."

Dennis Kucinich: "Afghanistan may be an incubator of terrorism, but it doesn't follow that we bomb it."

Rev. Al Sharpton: "The attacks on the World Trade Center are evidence that America is beginning to reap what it has sown."

Noam Chomsky: "On their worse day, al-Qaida is no worse than the United States on an average day."

Ward Churchill: "Our government bears responsibility for the 9/11 attacks because we killed 500,000 Iraqi children in numerous attacks."

Rove made it clear that he was talking about liberals, not Democrats, not the vast center. He should apologize for what? Telling the truth?

Hann lives in Fargo.

3. Upon reading this....
it occured to me.... I couldn't figure out Rove's motivation for making those statements at a time when the war was going badly, the poll numbers were slipping and the DSM's were getting momentum. It was to save his own ass!!! Create the illusion that the liberals and the so-called liberal media are out to get him. Then when the Plamegate(whatever) story breaks, which he knew it would, he plays the victim. What do you think?
