FREEPERVILLE ALL ABUZZ ABOUT SCOTTY'S PRESS CONFERENCE
I can't help myself. I LOVE to spy on those jerks at Freeperville. They are not pleased with how the press conference went. Their solution is, of course, to get rid of all press conferences and Scott McClelland. HA! I copied a sampling below and you can click on the link for all of their stupid comments.:woohoo:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1440680/posts

Mcclellan should have send I answered the question, moveon ;)
the minute you let the press corp jackals start to whine it goes out of control.

To: Pikamax
Don't I recall that clinton cancelled all his press conferences for more than a year? Maybe it's time to follow that example and see what the press has to say about it.

Or maybe Bush should imitate clinton's other practice, and lean on their bosses through the IRS and the regulatory agencies until they fire 5 or 6 of the worst offenders.

To: Pikamax
McClellan is a wuss.
Laura Ingraham for WH spokeswoman.

To: Pikamax
Shut down the press briefings. They serve no purpose if they're only going to be forums for sedition.

To: Pikamax
David Corn made a fool out of himself.

I watched it. He was a blithering idiot.

To: narby
I seem to remember that when this whole thing broke, that Plame was already publicly known as an employee of the Firm, but that her role in undercover work was not. Rove supposedly said that Plame was a CIA employee, but that was already public knowledge, therefore no problem.
The nuance of all this will be missed by most people.

To: balch3
McClellan isn't helping the situation any. Get somebody in there with a freaking backbone.

There is nothing seditious about it.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

4. Leaping Leapfrog Logic, Batman
McClellan should close down the press conferences because Clinton closed them down.

1. This isn't a "press conference". It's a press briefing.

2. Bush is president, and doesn't do "press conferences".

3. Joe Lockhart never cancelled press briefings. Nor did Dee Dee Myers.

4. Clinton never shut down press conferences.

Bunch of damn idiots.

16. Thank you CatWoman.
When Clinton was president they criticized him because he had so many press conferences and was always playing up to the camera in public settings. They were jealous of him. Now they seem to say the exact opposite. Those freepers never get it correct.

7. Lawrence O'Donnell was on Franken's show
this morning. Al played a snip of the press briefing where Scott says "I'll be happy to talk about this when the time is appropriate".
Lawrence yells "Liar! He will NEVER be 'happy' to talk about it!
It was hilarious.

9. I like "shut down the press briefings."
Don't ask questions about the preznit's view of treason -- that's "sedition." That was good. So was the idea of "leaning on the reporters' bosses" until some are fired.

Maybe all questioning of the government should be banned. All hail our leader! Accept no dissent! All traitors to our leader should be killed! (Remind me again what they had against Saddam?)

12. I guess they think that "nuance" was lost on Scotty, too.
You know, the nuance that says Plame was known to have a little desk job at the CIA, and it was known that maybe it had something to do with weapons of mass destruction, so naturally people figured she was able to wield the power to get her husband sent on this important mission for BushCo, because she was so powerful except nobody knew she was powerful but they thought maybe she was powerful anyway even though her job didn't seem powerful except to those who knew it was powerful and nobody said it was.

So naturally, they accused her of making the decision, and thus accused Wilson of twisting the evidence.

But it's not like they even knew her name.

I didn't know it. Did you know it? Did the freepers know it?

I don't think so.

18. It was a lie
about him shutting down press conferences for a year.

Clinton actually had a brain and could use it...he didn't need to shut down the press, he could verbalize them into a pretzel (until the "is is" remark).
