What do you think? If Rove is forced out, does it make Bush more or less dangerous to the country? Karen Hughes would probably be his Brain Part Two.

1. Just because he is out of the whitehouse, doesn't mean that
he still won't be giving Bush his marching orders. Even if he is in jail, I'm sure Bush will find a way to stay in contact.

9. If he does go to prison ( and I doubt he will);

it will be a country club style of afair...he will do his evildoing there , with more time to work on his hate filled plots....untill he was in the white house , you didn't here or see much of him; but he was behind every move that was made. The only thing that this will do help us , is that he has been discredited to many centrist repubs.

4. Well, he'd be less effective at keeping secrets.
The press corps has been totally intimidated by Rove -- for years.

5. Bush is a puppet!
It just means someone else will be controlling him, someone less evil than Rove we hope, if Rove goes down it hurts Bush so much, I also think Rove is the type of person if offered a deal will squeal like the little piggy that he is.

6. It won't make that much difference
We like to think of Bush as a moron, but the truth is he has a mind for political strategy and his own ethics aren't much better than Rove's in this respect.

Karen Hughes will have a higher profile. I don't know how much into smear tactics she is (Rove is real connoisseur of smear tactics); she seems to prefer just saying black is white and up is down. For example, after each of the presidential debates last year, she was on NBC dutifully telling television viewers how much Bush dominated the debate; it's a good thing she told them, because no one could tell by actually watching the debate.

8. To paraphrase Grover Norquist...
Once Bush is comfortable in his Rover-less status, he will have no problem socializing with the Democrats. Any farmer will tell you that certain animals run around and are unpleasant. But when they've been 'fixed,' then they are happy and sedate. They are contented and cheerful.

10. Bush and Rove are two faces of the same evil
I see no difference in the country's outlook, with or without Rove.

14. It is Cheney's agenda
Bush and Rove read the polls and keep the constiuents happy. Behind the scenes Cheney is doing the real work. Bush will just falter in his spin and PR. Hughes will probably step in and do an adequate job of controlling Bush while cheney tends to business.

I don't think that it would be more dangerous without Rove just more of the same.

15. More dangerous, because Poppy would step up.
The Old Reptile is the one who has been calling the shots since Day One. The disappearance of Rove would simply remove a layer of filtering between Daddy (and the Dark Ones that he serves) and Junior.

Try not to think of a hunting pack of velociraptors and their unspoken communication.

16. This movement is bigger than simply Bush, or just Rove
If Rumsfeld had been killed in the Pentagon on 9/11(I know, I know, I'm just saying), we'd still be in Iraq.

It won't stop if Bush leaves in 08 either.

They haven't spent billions over at least 4 decades building up media, think tanks, magazines, political power, corporate power, and religious power, to just be stopped by a leak or two.

Rove is no more than a cog in the machine. Because of his name, he's a fairly big cog, but still a cog.

People have been found guilty before. But now they have radio shows, and Fox News shows called "War Stories". Even if Rove were convicted to 376.3 consecutive life sentences, it won't stop their machine.
