Enabling a one world government. Yeah, he suckered some into believing he was something else, but even they see the writing on the wall.

You bet, and then some!
There just isn't a word in the English language that quite captures him and his Presidency... Catastrophic, tragic, destructive, divisive, stupid (and proud of it!)..... OMG, he and his cabal have nearly detroyed this country and the Constitution.
He is the National Nightmare personified.

I'm terrified of what he'll do when threatened with criminal investigation etc. Nuclear false flag, declaring himself dictator and gunning down the prosecutors, etc. all sound like rather probable threats to me.

12. Sorry Bush is NOT the worst president ever |
|
That title will always go to Ronald Reagan and here's why.
Reagan became the demigod to the neo-conservative/moral majority movement where they grew leaps & bounds and without a doubt became a legitimate mainstream force. After Reagan was gone they had Bush Sr. to carry on the neo-conservative/moral majority movement in the White House but then something really scary happened to them in 1992 - Bill Clinton.
Suddenly 12 years of massive growth in the neo-conservative/moral majority in our government came to a screeching halt with what was really a moderate southern democrat who had massive appeal to all types of people out there including the working poor & middle class. The neo-conservative/moral majority did everything they could with their great financial wealth to discredit and impeach Bill Clinton but everything they threw at him just bounced off like teflon.
So in 1994 the neo-conservative/moral majority needed a candidate for president. Not necessarily one that had the skills to be president but someone who could at least have the appeal and name recognition and the promise that if said candidate would win that he/she would turn over the controls of presidency back to the people who brought you Reagan/Bush Sr.
I'm sure they would have loved nothing more than to have the appeal of another Reagan to run again in 2000 (1996 was a give-away by repukes because by then they had control of congress thanks to the COntract on America in 1994). But the options were not there for another Reagan. I highly doubt they would have considered a female even if Patty wasn't such a rebal and Maureen was more personable. But there were always questions surrounding Ron Reagan's sexuality and Michael Reagan was just far too much of a nut job to ever be considered.
So the next in line - Bush. Neil was out because of S&L and rumors of sexual escapades in SE Asia, but there were 2 other viable Bushes - George & Jeb. Of the 2, Jeb was considered the more serious and intelligent of the 2 and was the best choice for their candidate in 2000. Jeb was established in Florida and George in Texas, so that also gave them two large states with plenty of electoral votes to ensure a win (with the help of some election fraud to boot). Only problem was neither had a political career so they decided to run them both for governor of their respective state. That would give them 6 years of experience before the 2000 election.
Only one problem with that plan - Jeb, the original choice, did not win governor in 1994 whereas George did win in Texas. That pretty much put Jeb on the back-burner while they had to go with George, the original party frat rich boy, as their presidential candidate.
Ok, so why do I still say Reagan is the worst. Well, it's simple - he gave legitimacy to neo-conservative/moral majority movement. Don't get me wrong, they always existed except they were on the fringe and not mainstream. Had Reagan lost to Carter in 1980 who knows what would have happened; however, I do know one thing that I believe to be true - if Reagan was never president there would have never EVER been a Bush Jr in the White House. Not even sure if Bush Sr. would have ever made it (but Bush Sr was actually a moderate republican until Reagan picked him as his running mate).
So I blame it all on Reagan - he was the original white house puppet (nothing like a charismatic Hollywood Actor who just needs to know how to smile and pull off funny 1-liners as your candidate). Without Reagan there would have not been any Bush. Reagan spent our country into the ground and totally ignored for years one of the biggest modern medical issues - AIDS. He deserves a spot in the greatest depths of hell

15. You make a valid point |

Reagan may have been the worst...it's a close race. I vote for Bush because he has enabled the fanatical religious right to make huge inroads in influencing policy.
I'm truly amazed at how inept Bush is. It's not just the war, or the embrace of a wacky religion, it's EVERYTHING! Homeland security is a mess. It's a huge, instant bureaucracy, extremely wasteful. The country is only marginally safer than it was pre-9/11 despite the billions spent to date. They have absolutely no game plan for where they want the country to go - they leave everything up to the private sector to determine what to do.
Historians are going to have a field day dissecting this administration. I have no doubts this administration will be considered the years America hit rock bottom!

20. Reagan was indeed a shit, shit SHITTY preznit, |
|
but the nod goes to Bush, because he has done not ONE correct thing since taking office. AT ALL. ZERO. ZIP. ZILCH. True, there were very few meat-and-potatoes accomplishments under the Reagan era, but at least there WERE a few that you could bullshit his presidency to noteworthiness semi-successfully. What will they say about Shrubstah?
"He's strong on terr . . well, no, not really . . .the 9/11 victims still have not been avenged, we still haven't got a reign on terrorists and there's more evidence that THEY were involved with 9/11 than Saddam was . . . "
"He CAUGHT SADDAM! . . . well, that's since proven to be a joke, since Iraqis are now proven to be worse off since the occupation . . ."
"He cares for the kids! No Child Left . . .Behind . . . well, that kind of sucked, to be honest . . ."
"He's the WAR PRESID . . . well, no he's not. Vietraq ain't ever gonna end and we're making things worse by the day. It's like spraying the counter for ants by using old apple juice . . ."
"His economic record speaks for its . . .well, that's seriously full of horsepuckey. Wall Street and the CEOs are making out like bandits, but the middle class can't even afford to buy a house now, probably because their wages in real dollars have actually DECREASED compared to their 70's counterparts . . .AND they're working far more hours . . ."
"He's CLEANED UP ENTERTAi . . . well . . . no he hasn't. TV is more mindless and unclean than ever in history . . . "
"HE'S A MAN OF CHARACT . . . Oh JESUS, who am I kidding here? This administration's more crooked than Lombard St., they lie more than Yolanda Saldivar and they're more rife with scandal than MTV in the early 80s. . . The only thing really saving him is the fact that Republican-run corporations control the media, and even THEY'RE starting to tire of this lame duck . . . "
I'm just not seeing what they COULD say about Presidunce Dickhead's terms that could be positive. The guy really has NOTHING to run on. Nothing. He's an inarticulate BOOB who makes Republicans who defend him look like complete stupid asses. Every single thing he touched has turned to cowshit. What are they going to say?

Bungling the recovery of a relatively isolated country from civil war is peanuts beside wrecking the sole superpower while seven simultaneous existential threats to global society are ongoing.

Nothing really new to add, but it is very satisfying typing those words. And, I know they are true. There is just no argument, even for Nixon or Reagan. Those who think this country ever vaguely resembled the complete, utter, shameful hell we are looking at today have short memories.
Sadly, I also agree with whoever said you get the leadership you deserve. Too many of us Murkans were and are asleep at the switch.
