2. You got that right
A caller cracked up Franken one morning by pointing out that Scotty is the chief liar at the White House but he's not very good at it.

3. Bush said it... (a matter of semantics)
"And if the person has broken the law, the person will be taken care of."

Karl Rove has been taken care of, he has been promoted.

How long has Kenny Boy Lay stayed out of court so far? Is Bush taking care of him?

How long has it been since Osama was last seen? Was it right before the last election? Is Bush taking care of him? Who contacted Osama to make the October surprise speech? Who wrote his speech?

"If someone did leak classified information, I'd like to know about it and we'll (or will?) take the appropriate action."

If the quote says "we'll," is "the appropriate action" to work together to deny it and cover it up?

If the quote was really "will," then his action was to promot Rove. Was that appropriate?

5. Clinton was a gentleman.
A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell. Discretion is the better part of valor... and all the rest of those old cliches.

If Clinton lied when he said he didn't have sexual relations with that woman... then Rove lied when he said he didn't tell anyone the CIA agent's name.

Clinton may not have had sexual relations with her, but he did have a sexual relationship with her.
Rove may not have told anyone her name, but he clearly identified her as Wilson's wife and it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to find out her name.

I can't see how Bush can get away with saying he didn't mention his DUI because he didn't want his daughters to know. Good grief, they spent their early years with a drunk -- they knew who he was.
But, then, I would suspect Clinton didn't want his daughter (or his wife) to know about Monica either. I don't think he could have used that line and gotten away with it like Bush did.

Why does Clinton's one "lie" trump all of BushCo's BIG whoppers? Would he have been better off lying all the time like the current admin? Would everyone have become immune to the lies after a while?
