Folks in Madison, WI, be on guard tomorrow for right wing shenanigans.

The GOP is absolutely tasteless. They think this stuff is funny. They bragged about it in SC, but some pictures showed only a few appeared. They talk big, but people are waking up. Maybe someone can get pictures. SC had a scream contest, too. They need to grow up a little.

http://www.theconservativevoice.com/articles/article.html?id=6855

Madison, WI)…In response to DNC Chairman Howard Dean’s scheduled appearance at the Orpheum Theater in Madison tomorrow, July 13 for a Democratic Party of Wisconsin fundraiser, Republicans will rally with a show of their own.
The counter event will be held from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the State Bar and Grill, 118 State Street. Conservative talk show personality Vicki McKenna from WIBA NewsTalk 1310 will be broadcasting live. The show will include a Howard Dean Scream Contest, Howard Dean trivia, and interviews with top officials in the GOP. There will be prizes and giveaways.

“This will be a great opportunity to energize our base and show Dean and the Democrats that we won’t stand for his out-of-line attacks on the integrity and character of our party,” said Rick Graber, chairman of The Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Dean’s comments are so egregious it’s comical. How fitting that his event is being held at a theater.”

All states can do to counter this crap is to be aware ahead of time, and try to be prepared to make them look their foolish selves.

6. I've been a lifelong resident of Madison, WI ...
...and the liberal bumper stickers outnumber the repuke bumper stickers 100 to 1. They're holding this conservative rally on State Street? Oh, that should be sweet. Right near campus. The college kids will love tearing into these bastards.

Oh, and I didn't know Vicki McKenna was a conservative talk show host. I primarily listen to AAR. Last I remember of Vicki McKenna, she was a two bit co-host of the teenie bop radio station, Z104. Oh, and I seem to remember her involved in some drunken driving scandal a few years back, but the details escape me. I do remember they published her mug shot in the paper and it would make Nick Nolte's mug shot look good. hehehe

41. Vicki McKenna is a scanky Repug with a brain to match
If you ever listen to her, she has a wonderful way of over-yelling her callers and then going into a blood-filled smoker's cough becuase she's too stupid to hit the cough button. The few times I've listened to her, that was always a "feature".

If I get near her, I might pull out the Raid...Repug cooties are nasty.

Knowing how inane most Repugs are, it should be interesting. I'm guessing it will be a small crows though, due to Repugs usually dodging out if they face any kind of honest response.

They're used to events where the Secret Service does their screening for them. This event will provide a hearty response against them.

43. Vicki McKenna: Disorderly Conduct arrest 1997 at a U2 concert!

McKenna: No contest

Radio personality Vicki McKenna, who co-hosts the morning show on WZEE (104.1 FM) with Marc Anthony, pleaded no contest Tuesday to two misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.

McKenna, who was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during a U2 concert at Camp Randall Stadium last June, was referred to the First Offenders' program in the Dane County district attorney's office.

The resisting arrest charge was amended to disorderly conduct.

: : I seem to recollect reading that Vicki McKenna was arrested for drunk and disorderly at Camp Randall. I think it was the Rolling Stones concert. Just for laughs I ran a CCAP search, but noda. Of course, her on air name may be just that. Anybody remember hearing about this incident?

: : Yeah, our radio personalities have a right to a private life, but considering McKenna's highly public moralist stances, this would seem quite hypocritical if this did happen. Plus, McKenna is big time in favor of conceal and carry. Does this mean she'd be packing AND drunk?

:
: It was 1997 (7 years ago), U2 was the band, not the Stones. It was disorderly conduct, one count. I got 50 hours of community service, and a fat fine. I've talked about it on every station I've been on--numerous times. Where've you been? What does it have to do with conceal and carry legislation? Did you read the bill?

UW police Lt. Dale Burke Thursday said she was ``verbally and physically combative'' after a disturbance in the stands.

McKenna, 29, whose real name is Vicki Pyzynski, was booked into the Dane County jail on the two criminal misdemeanors and spent the night there.

The booking record noted her tattoos: ``Wolf on back, snake on chest.''

Burke said she asked for a preliminary breath test, in which she tested 0.15. Legal intoxicationfor driving is 0.10.

Just Happened To Coincide

Wisconsin State Journal :: Local/Wisconsin :: 1B
Monday, June 30, 1997

Don't read anything into the fact that the billboard advertising on the West Beltline Highway near Todd Drive for WZEE-FM (104.1) morning hosts Marc Anthony and Vicki McKenna is gone.

The folks at Adams Outdoor Advertising said the billboard was changed Friday morning as part of a normal rotation and had nothing to do with the fact that McKenna was arrested Wednesday at the U2 concert for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

\ Whatever happened to . . .

The two misdemeanor charges against Vicki McKenna, who co-hosts the morning show on WZEE-FM (104.1) with Marc Anthony?

McKenna, who was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during a U-2 concert at Camp Randall Stadium last June, is facing a final pre-trial hearing at 9 a.m. Tuesday before Dane County Circuit Judge Dan Moeser.

Assistant District Attorney Jonathon Kaiser said Thursday the state has offered McKenna a deal. The case will either be settled Tuesday or a trial will be scheduled, he said.
