Rove wasn't EVER supposed to be in the spotlight... |
|
He is most effective when he is in the shadows. They never figured he would do something like this. Or, they (arrogantly) thought that they could kill this thing like they could kill everything else.

innocent human beings. They tend to keep issues alive - testing the air and throwing pundit puppets to the flame - for too long and that's the story of the last year or so. unfortunately, like any human manufactured sickness, repukes adapt best under fire. And truly, all things told, these controversies are some the few times they ever come into contact with reality.
Look for this thing to pass, then just as the dust settles Rove will "resign" or come down with some debilitating sickness and history will merely debate this talking point rather than permanently fault Rethugs... look for it, because they will be too

They just assumed that their whack-a-mole strategy would mean that some other invented crisis would take the heat off. I really feel bad for any reporter trying to cover these creeps. I only cover one agency and they pull the same stuff; the Inspector General recently caught them covering up a case of mad cow, and their response was to smear her as overstepping her bounds and stabbing people in the back.
Fortunately, we appear to have lucked out in Patrick Fitzgerald.

3. yep. I think ol' Rovy succumbed to ego when in this last administration |
|
he got himself officially given a post. Something to crow about...look back on (sorta like a trophy). But he was always more effective in the shadows (and I think that had to chap him a bit, to be the "brain" but never able to come out in the open and actually DO official shit).
That's my take, upon looking at your comment. Good observation by the way.

4. What lovely irony it would be |

if the same Rove who brought W to power, should be the undoing of them all.
There's a saying that every problem contains within itself the seeds of its own solution.
