Help with Rove letter
I want to make sure I have my facts straight and that my argument is sound.
Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

U.S. Politics a threat to Canada and Canadian Troops

The outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame, apparently a childish act of revenge by White House Chief of staff Karl Rove, is a threat to Canada and Canadian troops in Afghanistan.
Valerie Plame was in charge of a network of agents investigating weapons of mass destruction programs and proliferation.
The outing of Ms. Plame destroyed this network, thereby increasing the very real possibility that nuclear or biological weapons could get into the hands of terrorist organizations.
If a nuclear or biological weapon were used by terrorists to attack the U.S. it could also have a devastating effect on the Canadian environment and people.
Troops in Afghanistan could also be a target of these weapons.
Partisan politics and political acts of retribution in the U.S. have become a threat to the safety and security of all Canadians.

1. It seems to my simple mind...
that your points are sound and you make your case pretty effectively.

I have a slight problem with your choice of "childish" as a description of Rove's motivation. I think his act was far more insidious, and I'd use "seditious," "malicious," or "Machiavellian."

3. Nice line of reasoning.
Just some scattered ideas in no particular order...

If you're emphasizing the danger to Canada, Canadians, and Canadian troops in Afghanistan, you might also want to add:

- Terrorists may directly attack Canada if attacking the U.S. proves too difficult.
- Terrorists attempting to attack the U.S. may transport their ill-gotten WMDs through Canada.

Also, emphasize the fact that Plame's entire network (front companies, associates, potentially hundreds of agents and informants) was exposed by Rove's crime. This is huge. It deliberately dismantles years of careful human investment, which unlike money or equipment is irreplacable. Canada can no longer benefit from this network.

(In other circles, I've seen people overly focus on Plame's work and career and personal safety.)

Rock on.
