OMG! RNC website has Talking Points for Talk Show Callers!
It is now accepted by Republicans that they are to spew Talking Points instead of researching issues, applying critical thinking skills, and reaching conclusions using their own brains. In other words, rank and file Republicans are not supposed to think--they can only repeat propaganda. They are just dittoheads and proud of it!

I also noticed that the RNC homepage has Peggy Noonan in a "come hither" pose as the primary photo.

4. I fail to see the point of this.
What's the point of a bunch of raving Busheep calling right wing talk shows and spewing the same exact crap that the Busheep host is spewing?

If I were the RNC (which by the grace of Almighty God I'm not) I'd be telling them to call Air America and other non-Freepazoid shows (Ed Jones, etc.) with these talking points.

And laugh my ass off when they called Randi or Malloy

8. They do call LW shows, only the really stupid one's call the RW...
...shows.

If you don't hear them on Air America, it because they have better or stricter rules for screening calls, as apposed to NPR and CSPAN.

6. This sounds familiar
"It is now accepted by Republicans that they are to spew Talking Points instead of researching issues, applying critical thinking skills, and reaching conclusions using their own brains. In other words, rank and file Republicans are not supposed to think--they can only repeat propaganda. They are just dittoheads and proud of it!"

It seems the Republicans are following the same teaching techniques that served the Talaban and Al Qaeda so well, an army of mindless drones.

7. Is there such a thing as a "good talking point"?
Talking points are for weak intellects.

I agree with barbaraann. "researching issues, applying critical thinking skills, and reaching conclusions" is much better.

9. It's pathetic that the government feels the need to prompt
ordinary citizens to parrot the company line. Very NAZI/ Totalitarian in my opinion

10. The Republican Party has become overly reliant on Propaganda...
That's what it is - pure BS Propaganda. I couldn't stand it - that's why I got out. I like to think for myself, and I still have some loyalty to my country and my constitution left. I think the Bush Administration is the most corrupt, power hungry, flat out dirty government I've ever seen in the US. Consequently, I no longer fit in with the Republican crowd. :puke:

at the organization. THIS IS WHY THEY WIN ELECTIONS. There is no dissent. There is no straying from prescribed talking points. There is absolute obedience.

We must find a way to mirror their success while not losing our integrity. As someone said in another thread... trying to do this with Democrats is like trying to herd cats. LOL!

The first step, though, is knowing what you're up against, imo.

And, this is a great place to start.

12. It's amazing how lost they are without someone to think for them
and make sense of the web of lies.

The question is: if the WH isn't talking in public, are they running things behind the scenes? Is the RNC the central source for the WH to get their 'message' out now?

Yep!
