We need a counter-presense to this non-sense! Dean is no "God-hater"! WTF??? If you can get a small group (or large group, preferably...) to go there and counter this demonstration, you would be doing us a lot of good!

Howard and the Democratic Party doesn't deserve this. It needs to be stomped out right now!

if they thought they were in control, then they could easily have shrub push through legislation pretty quickly to stop what they see as a crisis situation. They have had republican domination for 4 years, and the midterm elections are coming up next year. I think they're not seeing any progress and that's why they're taking matters into their own hands.

They are totally dangerous and scary... many of these people are terrorists, and I don't use the term lightly. Killing abortion doctors, bombing clinics: that's terrorism.

the Fred Phelps sort of oddballs, direct confrontation will be necessary to chase them from the streets. Doesnt need to be violent, just move quietly into their personal space. Direct staring eye-contact of a larger group toward the noisy creeps should do the job.

21. Their Whole "Religion" is Secular Hatred of Women

These people have been very threatening for many years, but because they got a free pass during the Reagan and Bush I years, when the FBI was ordered not to even make them a priority, they were able to make a lot of progress on intimidating abortion clinics, with no consequences. I remember a Phil Donahue (morning program, not the MSNBC debacle) on this issue, where abortion clinic workers described calling police, in the South and southern Midwest, after bomb threats, etc., and being told to "search for it themselves" because the police were not going to come out and help them. Because this terrorist group--oh, excuse me, defenders of conservative morality--can get away with this, they were able to make good on their threats for all those horrible years until Clinton and Janet Reno. Now the devils are in control again.

The entire premise of their thought is that they hate women, and are going to beat them into submission. Criminal and psychiatric studies have long proved a connection between extreme, fundamentalist "religion" among males, and violence against women, and many of the leaders of the anti-abortion lunatic fringe have criminal records for battering, stalking and rape. These groups started to spring up during the '70s when women made such great strides, but because they were supported by demon Republicans during the '80s, they were able to inflict themselves as a threat for beyond their actual numbers, which have always been small, believe it or not. These groups are a threat precisely because all their efforts to "take over" the society and remake it as themselves, have always been loudly rejected by the true mainstream society. They can never notice that they are wrong, so the only thing left to do is to fight even more extremely. They and their like will be finally crushed and the threat ended, when males as a group clearly state that they will not profit anymore by the oppressive violence of some of their members.
