The BushCo. playbook is very simple. If an issue can be used to attack, make it simple, If an issue must be defended, make it complex.

Democratic talking points should be very simple and repeated ad nauseum.

-Rove's actions most likely KILLED US intelligence assets around the globe

-Rove betrayed America for political reasons.

-Smirky PROMISED to fire anyone found to have leaked the name.

I guess my addition would be to ask them over and over until they give an answer.
