Why is the White House Press Corps... |
|
so PO'ed about this Rove thing? They handled the administration with kid gloves on just about everything else--such as Iraq, W.'s selection by the SCOTUS, vote fraud in Ohio, etc,. etc. What makes this so different?
The anger is good to see, but I don't know what makes this so much different from other issues.

1. Rove has lead them around by the nose for six years straight |
|
They hate the fucker and want to see him go down. He's force fed them everything since Bush was a glimmer on the radar screens of the GOP.

my repub brother just bragged to me that Stewart's ratings are down. Way down, near cancellation. I didn't believe him. He's the guy that believes everything O'Reilly says. He thinks right wing gets more viewership because it's more exciting. Ugh.

figuratively speaking..... they may feel that it is easier "safer" to attack the person closest to shrubber and hope some of it will rub off on him.... maybe not.

They are trying to hold him accountable. This administration has acted as if they were some poor victim of the big mean media. Not true.

She's exactly where she deserves to be for covering up a crime against our national security. But if it has galvanized the media, so be it.

As a reporter and a believer in the freedom of the press, she kept her mouth shut and protected her sources.

13. This is revenge, sweet sweet revenge for five years of mental sodomy |
|
Sure, we know at least some of the WH press corps have been, literally and/or figuratively, GOP whores. But a fair number have, or perhaps once had, aspirations to become legitimate journalists in their own right. It's a tough ride to live through five long years of tongue-biting lip service under the most outrageous circumstances with various & sundry threats to your job, livelihood, health and family hanging overhead. Finally, a tiny glimmer of a chance to challenge and overcome one of the greatest journalistic bêtes noire to inhabit an administration!
I can but wonder what sort of purge will transpire if they fail.

|
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 09:54 PM by housewolf
Scottie lied TO THEM... that makes it personal. It's not the president doing his political thing of lying to the nation, it's someone they know, have dealt with on a daily basis, who lied directly to them. It's personal.
And now he's stonewalling them, refusing to talk about things he talked about before. It's personal.

20. I've wondered to. Could it be that this is the one man they can bury |
|
to make their own lives better? They know Rove doesn't discriminate when it comes to spreading rumors and slandering people and they've always had that hanging over their heads. The Plame case is a case in point.
......they see their chance to help get rid of him and they're jumping on it.
