Survey: What will be Patrick Fitzgerald's downfall? |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 07:25 AM by Ian_rd
As special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald appears to be making a genuine effort to effect justice in the Rove/Plame investigation, what do you expect the GOP will soon broadcast about him throughout their liberal media?
My own suggestions:
1. Fitzgerald is a shameless opportunist who is "auditioning" for the Clinton '08 campaign.
2. A photo has been discovered clearly showing Fitzgerald and Jane Fonda attending the same anti-war rally in the 70s.
3. Fitzgerald is doing nothing more than pursuing a book deal.
4. Fitzgerald has always coveted the position of National Security Advisor, and has been seething with disgruntled hatred for Bush ever since being passed up for the job.
5. Fitzgerald's daughter attends a computer science class at New York University, which is taught by a man who once had his gardening done by an illegal alien whose brother once filled the gas tank of non other than Ward Churchill! Fitzgerald's hatred of America is obvious!

1. They can promote all those ideas, but I doubt they would matter. |
|
The only thing I can see as a downfall is the refual of various witnesses to testify, taking the 5th etc. I know he has suboena powers, but without truthful testimony by all the people who actually have the needed info, he can't prove his case.

2. Since it was Bush who selected him... |
|
...they probably made sure that he had things in his past they could discredit in the event that he didn't rule in their favor. But I honestly believe that Rove's luck is running out. He's pushed the envelope too far. Bush's numbers are down in every area. He hasn't had his way with Bolten, stem-cell, social security. His big speech didn't help. Participating in helping Africa at the G-8 didn't help. The London attacks didn't help. The majority of people are losing trust in him and have doubts about the war. I don't think it will even matter in the end what Fitzgerald does...the seeds of doubt regarding this admins. reasons for going to war, their lack of trustworthyness have all been planted. It's way beyond one single crime...it's a whole web of lies and cover-ups. The result...an unecessary war, the loss of lives and huge amounts of taxpayers money, and we are less safe regarding terrorism. Rove getting fired is a mere pimple on the cancerous body of the Bush Administration.
Let's not forget...Martha Stewart committed no crime...she was indicted and went to jail because she lied. People hate being lied to, being betrayed and being made fools of.
