Falwell vs Liberal Christians
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45189

Last month, a new leftist religious organization announced its inception to battle the alleged domination that Dr. James Dobson, Pat Robertson and I have on modern-day politics. This organization, the Christian Alliance for Progress, is hardly "Christian."

At the end of the article, Jerry put his email so let him know what you think of his view of Christian Alliance for Progress. I told him that he is pretending to be Deity. No reply yet.

2. Turning Against One Another
History shows that every 'revival movement' hits a high water mark at which the followers ascend to power. At that point, they begin to turn against one another in an effort to prove who is the 'better Christian'. I've been telling friends since the election last November that it is only a matter of time before this happens: the Fundamentalists are in an uneasy coalition with Catholics and other mainstream Protestant denominations, not to mention Mormons, etc. But the core of their theology holds that Catholics, and other more traditional Christians are not really Christians at all. Just sit back and watch them destroy their coalition - Falwell is dumber than I thought.

4. If I weren't a liberal Christian
I'd tell Jerry to bite me.

Sigh. Off to find something a little less instinctive to write him...

7. How very easy
it is for these men to slap a Christian label on themselves... Yet they are acting the furthest from Christian there is.

Someone remind me again why America was founded... Doesn't "freedom of religion" ring a bell??? With all this crap Bush keeps saying, I wonder if we'll be forced into his Southern Baptist church by the end of 2008. Blech.
