RNC hack Ken Mehlman tries to redefine "leak"
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 07:24 PM by quaoar
He's trying to say Rove didn't leak. He's dead wrong. A leak is when a source gives a reporter information that is supposed to be confidential somehow. There does not have to be a request for a story.

"A leak is when you ask a reporter to write a story. He was discouraging a reporter from writing a false story," Mehlman…told The Des Moines Register during a trip to Iowa.

3. Wow.
Well if it was just that simple, why wasn't THIS talking point brought up months ago?

Sounds like something Rovey cooked up just today.

5. Leaking is simple:
Rove opened his mouth when he should have kept it closed. And knew it.

8. Your response should be a Dem Talking Point n/t
And also that is why Bush's response should be so clear:fire him and anyone else found doing this

7. He could have discouraged a reporter from writing a false story
without saying a name. Simply saying *Officials at the CIA* would have sufficed and not caused a problem for anyone. Saying her name smacks of *Payback*.

10. Isn't it time SOMEBODY outed this self-loathing clown???
Wouldn't the Pukes fall all over themselves if confronted with an admission, or indisputable evidence, that Mehlman is gay? They couldn't shoot him fast enough!

It's time. It's not about whether or not he's gay -- I could care less. It's about his lying-ass bullshit. He's the enemy, gay or otherwise. He must be destroyed. It'd actually be fun to watch.

12. Patently false
If Rove was really trying to do as Mehlman suggests, than all he had to do was tell Cooper that the Vice President didn't authorize the trip, which, as we all know is not what Wilson claimed. There would have been no need to mention Wilson's wife at all.
