Tweety is DEAD...Let's sent messages that David Gregory is "DaMan!"
He has been really good, imho...listening to him fill in for "Tweety WHORE" (who has a Nantucket McMansion" near GE's Jack Welch on Nantucket Island...and who knows what "Jack" gave him) but Tweety is a HACK/HAS BEEN.. Ditch him and his crappy ratings..

Bring on David Gregory! He had his facts and didn't interject his personality like Tweety who makes everything about "HIM" and his sexual and other "preferences."

4. Oui, c'est vrai! Joyeux Jour de Bastille, tout le monde!
I agree -- let's launch a "promote David Gregory" campaign at MSNBC. I'd much rather see him be the lead-in to Keith O. than Tweetybird.

6. Yes...I didn't know that either...until I "held my nose" and tuned in...
I left Tweety a couple of years ago...so I only tuned in because they said that "Tweety" would focus on Karl Rove tonight. I broke my ban on the Tweet...and was so happy to see David Gregory doing the show.

It was a treat! But, we have NO Assurance that Gregory would end up better than Tweety IF HE GET's the JOB...But I'm sick of Matthews enough that it would suit me. But, then, I get all of my REAL NEWS off the INTERNET...So, in the end, does it matter?

Only in that the American Sheeple would get better reporting from folks like Gregory (the way he presented himself tonight) than "Matthews/Tweety" in the Repug PinStriped Suit with "flag pin" that he presents himself these days?

I don't know.. but at this point..I go with the "New Face" of Gregory.

8. Tweety is a schizoid Bush Regime asslicker.
David Gregory should replace Tweety, now. Of course, that won't happen but maybe Dave will get his own show. I would watch that.

Subject: "When will Chris Matthews be back?"

Body: "I want to know when to stop watching again."

10. ROFL...that's kind of what mine said.
:D..but I said that I thought that "Mathews had probably had the show too long and we needed some 'new blood.'" But, it's close enough to yours that maby they will get the message?

11. No, no -- Keep David Gregory as the NBC White House correspondent
I want him there at every Bush or Scottie press conference. He's the spark plug in the press corps right now.

14. I watched DaMan D.G. do Tweety several weeks ago, and
I swere, if I didn't know better, I'd say that immediately after the show he read his 'reviews' on the blogs. Seems like he got a little high with all the rave reviews, and then came out with his go-get-him performance in the press room!!

He was super again tonight!

17. lol's....he was good tonight. Riding high on his confrontation with Scott
...so it's good if he has a sense of outrage...or even a sense of greed at least he's with US and not like "them" or trying to stradle the fence betweent he Far Right and the Right like "Tweety."

We need all the help we can get from the "Young Stags" challenging the Old Bulls. And not being gender bashing here. Tweety thinks he some "young stag" and never figured out what his audience was. Let him go out to pasture...(I could think of worse than "pasture" for "Tweet's" retirement..but, nevermind )

15. matthews gets worse everyday
yesterday he had ken melhman on and he introduced the rove controversy in a way that made rnc ken say,"I like the way you frame it." if that gives you any idea. he never mentioned the forgeries that started the thing off and then he let melhman recite the talking points for several minutes and didn't call him on any of them. Melhman even said, "rove is an upstanding public servant and the democrats are smearing him". none of this raised a feather with tweety. he is a hack and gregory is a burst of fresh air for that show. funny thing about matthews is he's been so schizo neither the left or right can stand him.

Clear, concise, intelligent, cogent, articulate, good questions (good research!), let's people answer. Not all that biased (compared), Very, very good.

20. Exactly what I thought.
I've been Tivo-ing both Hardball and Countdown for ages now and was just about to take Hardball off of the list because it's getting so predictable and Matthews doesn't really play Hardball anymore.

David Gregory was a pleasure to watch.
