1. Don't hold your breath |

Everytime Bush holds a press conference, he slips in the polls. Working Americans have a better since of reality than Bush, the corporate globalist does.

2. in a couple of days is unlikely, but in a couple of weeks, maybe. |
|
I think he promised to hold one press conference per month in his second term, and if I remember right, his last one was at the very end of June. If he sticks to him promise, it should be in the next 2 weeks or so.
Unless some other BIG story takes this Rove thing off the front burner, it should still be hot.
However, I suspect you're hoping for something you won't get. All he's going to say on the Rove subject is a repeat of the "ongoing investigation" line.

3. Bush also promised a press conference a week on Iraq |
|
And that promise lasted all of one week. After he looked like a complete dope, the weekly press conferences were quietly discontinued. The supine press corps, naturally, let it go without a peep.

5. Yeah, so would I, but I'd also bet we'd be keeping those quarters. |
|
bush wouldn't DARE venture out to face the White House Press Corps now. Not with his dear darling buddy-boy turd-blossom's neck on the block. I just had a vision of bush picking up the phone to call James "The Fixer" Baker to make it all go away. Or to try to figure out which news people to screw next. One thing he understands VERY well, and resonates to, is vengeance. Nice mature mentality now that the "adults are back in charge," isn't it?
