Reid getting everyone in line
Did you notice that today in the Senate vote on Reid's amendment, ALL DEMOCRATS VOTED YES with him! I mean, even Lieberman and Landrieu. Talk about getting your party in check with you.

2. It was good
to see the Dems (minus one) voting together.

Now, let's extend this to important legislation (and etc).

6. No criticism of the Senator was implied.
(I didn't know the particulars, although I thought that it might be something of this sort.)

It was merely an observation that one Dem vote was missing.

And I wish the Senator well.

8. My Good Senator Babs is in hospital
Supposedly nothing serious ...

Baltimore, MD (AP) Senator Barbara Mikulski was undergoing tests at a Baltimore hospital, a spokeswoman said late Monday. Mikulski, 68, was admitted to Mercy Medical Center Monday morning.

"Senator Mikulski is undergoing some diagnostic medical tests at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore," Melissa Schwartz, a spokeswoman for the Democrat, wrote in a prepared statement. "She is expected to be released in a couple of days."

Schwartz would not say what prompted the hospitalization, or what kind of tests Maryland's junior senator was undergoing.

Mikulski was elected to a fourth six-year term in November. She is the most senior woman in the Senate and serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
