1. If we do have a "terrorist" attack as his ratings drop |
|
I cannot help but think, with this "administration," that it will be one of those LIHOP or MIHOP terrorist attacks.

If his approval is going to go in the toilet after an attack, it would take a profoundly foolish administration to LIHOP, wouldn't it? Of all the things that BushCo is, "foolish" (at least in the political sense) isn't one of them.
I agree that an attack will sink this presidency. His last remaining rationale for the War in Iraq is that we're fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here. An argument that probably doesn't convince too many Londoners, these days.

in terms of what happened generally after 9/11 - so many people jumping on the bandwagon to rally round "The President." It was foolish of course, but this country has no dearth of foolish people. I can imagine that if there were another attack on American soil the Chimpster's ratings might go back up as many would argue how such an attack would merely validate Dubya's contention that his war is just and necessary. Of course it would never occur to any of his idiot followers that he might have let it happen in an attempt to get whatever mileage he could out of it. Then again, I could be wrong.

Too many people that voted for this dipshit will never be convinced. It would have to take something really major to make it drop down much further than this.

5. Who would ever know for sure? |

Doesn't the corporate media spin those too? Even it was at zero, they'd still be out there shouting he's doing great.
