Drudge Says Novak Told Rove About Plame..... |
|
This is supposedly what Rove told the Grand Jury.
We don't know if this is true - but - don't you think that if it isn't and it's just another red herring put out there by the RW spinsters that Rove needs to resign today.
WH can't let this story keep going and especially not into the weekend (Sunday) news shows like MTP.
Rove needs to fall on his sword for the WH today - in my estimation - if he doesn't - that means that he's got an out - maybe this Novak story is his out.
Then Scotty and * will be able to stand by their comments of not being able to discuss this during an ongoing investigation - but they will be able to discuss after.
Then they'll be all smug and say - we told you so - Rove is good - you shouldn't jump to conclusions.
I just can't take this anymore - how can we stand three more years of continuous scandals - they that weasel out of all the time?

1. This just proves that NYT is just toilet paper |
|
If Novak told Rove then how did Rove know to tell Cooper that "she sent her husband" and "she works in WMD?" Oh, Novak knew that as well? Well then, if that is true, than are they saying that Novak is sitting out there while Miller is in jail because the grand jury likes Novak better?

3. Novak is not going to like sitting in jail over this |
|
IMHO,, this could turn Novak, he does not look like the type to sit in jail to cover up for Rove.
Besides Novak has already given his Grand Jury testimony.
Myself this story tells me it is  eat time. :)

But it does dovetail quite nicely with one theory I've seen mentioned, that Miller may have been the one who told Novak, and that she had her info from Cheney. Which would help explain why Miller is in jail and Cooper isn't. And would impart a whole new meaning to the phrase "circle jerk."

Rove is going down. We definitely have a perjury charge.

7. We know that there was two sources - Novak admitted to that... |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 07:23 AM by Mass
My guess is that somebody else called Noval (Libby may be), then Novak called Rove for confirmation and Rove said yea.
Does that make Rove less involved: NO but they are going to try to change the subject as much as they can.

Didn't Novak say that he didn't go digging for this information? Didn't he say that they contacted him and told him about Plame?
And weren't we told that Rove called six different journalists with this same information and the only one to publish it was Novak?
Didn't Rove tell Chris Matthews that Wilson's wife was "fair game"?
I think somebody is trying to muddy the water here.

9. We were said a lot of things |
|
Of course, somebody is trying to muddy the water, but even with this "new" version, it still does not make Rove innocent.
Even if Novak had asked him about Plame, he should not have answered, and the question is still, who said Novak?
The point is that, whatever story they say, they have to admit that Rove said to some people that Plame was CIA, and this is not good.

Whoever is 'leaking' (translation: manipulating from behind the scenes) had better have a VERY good lawyer and not be in any way connected to Rove or Bush.

13. Well then Drudge is wrong again. The story the NYTime printed |
|
says that Rove confirmed to Novak that he knew the story -- and it says that Rove learned about Plame from a journalist, but he can't remember who.
If Drudge is saying that Novak informed Rove, then Drudge can't read.

14. Doesn't matter. Rove is a confirming source for Novak and a |
|
primary source for at least Pinkus and Cooper. May have been a confirming source for others as well. (Remember there were 6 calls and three calls for confirmation. This requires coordination. Who better that the master of such garbage, Karl Rove?)
This means Rove and at least one other official will be indicted.
Therefore at least 2 people(Rove and Novak's initial source, perhaps Scooter Libby if today's reports pan out) served as main sources. (The fact that one source released Cooper from his agreement of confidentiality but one source did not release Miller also suggests at least 2 sources.) Rove would have to coordinate! To establish guidelines like: No source should call another's contact, Pitch the information off hand, not as the main subject, Make the contact think the source is trying to do him or her a favor ("Don't go too far out on this Wilson thing, I don't want you burnt."), etc. AND Rove would have had to field a group of officials to support the sources stories.
I say Rove coordinated because it is obvious he did so since anyone in the administration in possession of the Plame-Wilson-CIA link would have gone straight to the world master of deceitful politics, and now we know Rove was at least one of the leakers.
So, we could have at least 2 indictments for Rove (exposing and conspiring to expose) and (perhaps) 1 or more indictments for others (Novak and/or Miller's source). Not to mention exposure of those who condoned and confirmed the exposure.
I think the great thing we have going for us on this case is Patrick Fitzgerald. By all accounts a fine prosecutor.
Wow.
