2 Questions On Rove
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 08:04 AM by Mark E. Smith
1) Does it really matter if Rove got his info from Novak instead of sources inside the govt? After all, wasn't he still outing Mrs. Wilson when he gave that information to a reporter who was not aware that she was CIA? Shouldn't his first concern have been how this information got to Novak, and not whether Cooper's article was going to be factually correct or not??

2) A defense of Rove that makes no sense to me is the one Craig Crawford regurgitated on Countdown last night. How can Rove not have knowingly outed a CIA agent when he told Cooper that Wilson's wife was CIA? By telling Cooper she was CIA, doesn't that mean he knew she was CIA?

1. 2) Doesn't matter...
This has nothing to do with what the right-wing hacks think. This will all be decided by the investigation. Only those that are interested in twisting the facts will think that Rove did not know she was a CIA agent.

Fortunately, the court of public opinion does not matter with this scandal.

2. The issue is not whether she was CIA. . .
in order to violate the law a person has to KNOW that the CIA agent is in fact UNDERCOVER and intend to expose them.

3. rove
said Mrs. Wilson was fair game. Doesn't that say enough. Obliviously he knew something. If he went after her for revenge he abused his power, and should be prosecuted. If he did it inadvertently then he should at the minimum be fired.
