Today's Headlines about Rove |
|
After reviewing today's headlines that stated "rove was told by the media of the CIA's ID", I am absolutely infuriated. Every headline states this, without any qualifier. No, "Rove testified" No "source says" - nothing. Just, "Rove was told...". What the hell are they trying to pull? In case anybody is interested in lodging a complaint to Yahoo, which wrote the title for AP's story on their site, below is the contact number for their corporate offices. (408) 349-3300
I am so damn sick and tired of the media's complicity in this administration's unethical deeds.

1. They base this on......... |
|
a single source, somehow associated with the judicial process. If the shoe were on the other foot, the Slugs would be attacking the AP demanding a retraction. But........ :eyes:

2. So the government insider with the high security clearance |
|
got the information from not one, but two different reporters, from outside government sources.
Why do I find this hard to swallow?

Yahoo writes the headlines on their site, not AP (at least that's what the rep said when I called AP about it), so Yahoo is also guilty - and more people read Yahoo than newspapers, I'll wager

and I expect it's another bone for the Anti-Democrats to add to their talking points.
The reason it doesn't wash? Fitzgerald. He runs a no-leak ship. When he was investigating the shenanigans of our Secretary of State's office license scandal (which eventually brought indictments of our Governor Ryan (R) ), it was frustrating at times not to have some news about the investigation. He. Does. Not. Tolerate. Leaks.
So, if the headlines are to be believed, it will only serve to piss off Fitzgerald. I don't doubt his office gave the WH a call early on and told them to zip it. Now, it appears that the administration and their minions are manipulating from behind the scenes. Maybe THIS specific item isn't Karl Rove, but the evil bastard is waking this morning to headlines and smiling with thoughts of how well he's trained his guerrilla force.
