Was it just "coincidence" the bombs in London same time as Bush visit? |
|
Were the bombers planning it all along? Or was it more of a spontaneous act? There is little doubt in my mind that Bush is stirring up old hatreds around the world and creating new hatreds. Who can forget the look on Bush's face as he stood behind Tony Blair as Blair gave his condolences to the victim's families and his vow to prevail over "terrorism"? Was it just a coincidence?

4. So the Arabs are really turned off by the G8 ? |
|
and they're not really religious fanatics, ready to give their lives because their countries have been occupied by American and British forces?

3. Who knows what motivates terrorists? |
|
But it's pretty clear that the Bush administration is no friend to freedom-loving people on this planet. After last year's Democratic convention, the administration ratcheted up the terror alert again, and blabbed the name of an Al Qaeda operative they had turned to show how on top of this terror stuff they really were. One thing led to another, and a lot of suspected Al Qaeda operatives fled England and some others were hastily arrested but on pretty picayune charges.
England can perhaps be forgiven for thinking that even though the Bushistas had fucked up their surveillance operations, they had the comfort of thinking that they had disrupted whatever Al Qaeda had been planning. Now we all know that they thought wrong.
Another feather in the Bush administration's cap. I smell Medals of Freedom!
