Bush's Job deficits. Not a net new job created since Jan. 2001 when he took office.

And immigrants for bulk of the labor force since 2000

not to mention those here on visas, H1B or L1, and those who didn't even bother with the visa process.

10.  I'd say they are supporting a prez who uses their stupidity AGAINST them.
I certainly would NOT say they are supporting a prez doing an outstanding job.....maybe an outstanding job of suckering those too dumb to comprehend the damage he has caused this nation and the world.

9. Speaking of CAFTA
Sherrod Brown (D-OH) says that he has the votes to kill it. By his count, 195 Dems are against, 7 for, while 40-45 Republicans, mainly from the South and upper Midwest, are against it. DeLay et al are pressuring them, but they have constituents who got screwed by NAFTA and are not going to forgive if they vote for CAFTA.

It's a podunk little trade bill anyway, but most of the actual populations of the CAFTA nations oppose it, there are almost zero worker protection components, it has no trigger to shut down trade if an exporting country upsets a native industry (like if we flooded Central America with pork, which the pork people definitely plan to do), it virtually bans sugar imports (which would be one of the few good things about it if we could buy sugar at something approaching the world price rather than our hyper-protected price), etc. etc.

It's a bill written for a few special interests, with some other special interests supporting it because they think it will lead to a FTAA treaty that will give THEM a bonus.
