Ken Mehlman, a man with no face, now on Inside Politics
attacking Democrats over Plame, Bush's love-affair with the NAACP,etc:
He all but "cleared" Karl of wrongdoing on Plamegate, and attacked Dems for dissing the RNC's apology to blacks over the southern strategy. Hmmmm...strangely he failed to mention El-Rushbo's disagreement with it!
Bring back Ed Gillespie!

1. A man with no face? You mean like it's hidden in the closet?
which is not to say that he's gay, because that would be very wrong.

6. More like an aero-postal mannequin at the mall.
Or a body with an RNC-talking-points-memo for a head.
I did sense that Mehlman is high-strung. I look for him to quit such a high-profile job & maybe go back to working with the Log Cabin Repubs.

2. Just heard him on Tavis Smiley on NPR
Doing the same, & Tavis didn't confront him on anything, just let him spout. Last time I listen to TS.

7. Why not email to TS and call him on it
Otherwise he'll never know his lack of critique was unappreciated.

3. That so-called apology means nothing
To him it doesn't matter anymore anyway, because his party has already benefited from the Southern Strategy.

4. Did Smiley ask him ...
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 02:57 PM by Totally Committed
if the RNC was "in love" with the NAACP, why they did everything in their power to keep people of color from voting -- especially in Ohio and Florida? Or is this to let them know that if they start to vote Republican in large enough numbers, they'll allow their votes to count once and for all?

I'm just wondering.

5. I remember what Al Sharpton said at the Dem. Nat'l Convention last year!
He said (as close to the quote as I can remember) "everything we African Americans have gained through the years, we have gained under Democratic Presidents."....That just about says it, I would think!

10. You can add Al's final comment too.....
"Mr. President...the African-American vote is not for sale." (One of the highlights of the DNC.
