Who will be the first GOP senator to ask for Rove's resignation
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 04:37 PM by Check12
They can not hold on to these flimsy defense arguments forever.
Their talking points are like children caught stealing cookies.
"but joey lied, mommy!" They will be feeling the heat at home soon.
How would you like to try and defend a traitorous act? So, which GOP senator will break ranks first? My vote would be Chuck Hagel, although McCain certainly has reason to detest turd blossom. What do you think?

5. Or until the jury returns its verdict . . .
Chuck Hagel or John Warner would be my guesses.

Arlen Specter is a wild card---just to piss on the wingnuts.

He made a statement a few days ago that democrats should "shut up", because we were ruining Karl's reputation...or something stupid like that.

8. Lindsey Graham?
Can't stand him and suspect fear of reprisal might hold him back but he is one ambitious pos. If he is trying to stake out territory a millimeter to the left of the neocons he just might. Not holding my breath.

11. Not their modus operandi
None of them will get out front at all on the obvious corruption of the Bush administration because they know that would be political if not physical suicide. The Bushistas don't play nice, and they don't play fair.

However, after all the carnage is over and the heavy lifting is done, the brave Republicans will emerge to shoot any wounded still on the battlefield.
