Hatch and Biden just now on CNN - did anyone see it?

Hatch said (creep that he is) --doesn't think Plame should have had the status of a covert operative. Saying, doesn't think she did, and if she did, in his judgment she should not have b/c back in the country for at least 5 years.

Then Hatch said, Rove didn't reveal her - didn't say name. Even if Rove spoke to Cooper about her, wasn't supposed to be printed - only on background. Interesting, Cooper is new to WH. Hardly knows Rove. Yet Rove feels safe in disclosing covert operative b/c only on background. Somehow we are safe from harm b/c only on background.

Then kept saying, Rove is a wonderful, honorable guy who grew up in Utah.

Biden, completely destroyed him on last point. Said, Rove is aggressive operative, just ask McCain - Rove's tactics are hardest, toughest, most over the line he has every seen. Biden said as a political operative, understood he will use hard tactics - but says to Hatch, don't try to make him out to be an honest, honorable guy. Very good point. Says middle calls americans know what they are seeing.

Biden not interested in speculating on where this is going. Just says Rove is basically toughest guy there is, don't make him out to be a delicate flower now. He who plays in lions den sometimes is lunch.

I wouldn't have expected this from him as cautious as he's been. And thanks for the details.

Rove, it is time to pay the piper, it is your time to pay the price all Americans have paid under your lies.

5. Cooper's email said that the info was not to be sourced to KR,
not that it should not be printed. One more point in their house of cards defense that does not hold up under scrutiny. BTW creep is a good start for describing Hatch and he deserves much more in the way of derogatory comments.

6. Hatch is a lying son of a bitch ...
I don't think the rotten bastard would recognize truth if it bit him on his pasty ass. All he can do is repeat the company line ad nauseum. Fuck the santimonious asshole.

He should, for general principles, resign for disgracing even fucking Utah.

There is no doubt that foreign intelligence agencies as well as enemy organizations of the CIA have received this information as well. Therefore, any operative at all who listed their employment with Brewster Jennings for cover is in danger of a blown cover.

Karl Rove and Novak: They've Talked Before

Rove fired from Bush Sr's '92 campaign over leak to Novak. Karl Rove was fired from the 1992 re-election campaign of Bush Sr. for allegedly leaking a negative story about Bush loyalist/fundraiser Robert Mosbacher to Novak. Novak's piece described a meeting organized by then-Senator Phil Gramm at which Mosbacher was relieved of his duties as state campaign manager because "the president's re-election effort in Texas has been a bust." Rove was fired after Mosbacher fingered him as Novak's source.

Rove was the "only one with a motive to leak": Mosbacher says: "I said Rove is the only one with a motive to leak this. We let him go." The motive in question? Mosbacher had given Rove only a quarter of the $1 million spent on direct mail contracts for the 92 campaign; Rove, who in 1988 had the entire direct mail contract, therefore had an axe to grind with Mosbacher. Novak's column stated: "Also attending the session was political consultant Karl Rove, who had been shoved aside by Mosbacher."

Mosbacher still says Rove did it: Although Novak and Rove continue to deny Rove was the source of the leak, Mosbacher recently stated "I still believe he did it."
