Did anyone hear Ken Mehlman's comments about James Bryrd on Late Edition? |
|
Maybe I heard it wrong but it sounded like he called Byrd the racist killer from East Texas, when he was, in fact the victim of a racist killing in Jasper, Texas.

5. He definitely said that the GOP had been compared to James |

Byrd, and called Byrd the racist killer.
Maybe he was suggesting that Byrd was self-hating, and dragged himself to death behind that truck? I think Emmitt Till probably tortured (wait, 'legally coerced') himself to death in much the same way. MLK was also a racist suicide.
Gee, Ken, do ya really wonder why African Americans don't vote for you? You don't even know who the murderers and victims are?
