How many of you have noticed...
...that Ken Mehlman looks like Gumby?

Another thread talked about Mehlman wiping the floor with somebody in an argument, but you've got to admit that when you're face to face with Gumby, it's pretty hard to think clearly.

We should only refer to him as Gumby from now on. It fits, and having some preparation in advance for the shock of meeting Gumby in person can clear the mind.

And Gumby talks so fast it's clear the drug tzar needs to pay a little visit to his office... No doubt he's using something to counter the late nights pacing the floor and mumbling 'what to do, what to do, what to do...'

Either that, or he's worried his career is shot down the tubes when Fitz indicts him along with everyone else.

1. I know Gumby. Gumby was a childhood friend of mine. And
Mehlman is no Gumby. But on the other hand, you're right. He does look like Gumby.

2. Very clever....love it!
I suppose we're not talking about Eddie Murphy's Gumby?

5. We're talking about the big green thing...
...that just kind of wandered around acting like a doofus.

The similarity is not just in looks. ;)

4. I think it's a matter of opinion.
If he's following BushCo into the crapper, he's Gumby.

I've seen him on TV. He's not scary. I could out argue him.

And the clueless argument he uses shows he's clearly Gumby.

OUR problem is that we're not getting our message across. That's not a reflection of how good he is, it's a sign that we need to polish our message and keep repeating it until it sinks in. Forget what he says because it's irrelevant - stay on message!

Their argument is weak. We can counter it if we wake up and make an effort.

3. I think his head looks like a pencil eraser
But I guess that's a similar substance to Gumby.

6. I just noticed his eyes darting around like crazy this morning on MTP
like he was trying to keep focused on a highly caffeinated dragonfly or something.

7. Now, you apologize to Gumby! Mehlman's nickname....
well, is unprintable so, ok, stick with Gumby! I think I'd rather have a conversation with Bush himself than Mehlman. I hate "brown-nosing book-lickers" - Frist also comes to mind in that category.

9. Do you think...
...it's quite odd that his last name is Mehlman? It's almost as if his dad were the mailman, and his mother did a little jiggle and changed his name to Mehlman so he wouldn't find out until he was older.

It's so hard to be the illegitimate product of an alliance with the US Postal Service. tsk tsk.

10. I would suggest Melamine as a nickname
Melamine is really revolting plasticware from the seventies that makes any food placed on it taste terrible and probably leaches terrible chemicals into your system over time and I don't think it could be subjected to heat.
