"The reality is that we're losing in Iraq..." Sen. Hagel, R-Neb.
Iraq Suicide Blast Kills 54, Injures 82
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A suicide attacker detonated explosives strapped to his body Saturday at a gas station near a Shiite mosque south of Baghdad, triggering a huge explosion in a fuel tanker and killing at least 54 people, police said. Eighty-two people were injured. Police Capt. Muthanna Khaled Ali said the attack occurred in Musayyib, about 40 miles south of Baghdad.

Put the game on, hun.... Let's go see a movie... I'm headed for the gym... Let's go out for some ice cream...
Turn your back to this people???
No, no, no... I don't think so.
This is Vietnam II, only with a Kamikaze twist!
Civil strife, guerilla war, revolt, resistance.... it's the ugliest conflict I've seen in my life!
There's no objective, there's no plan for peace and there's no way out because we don't want to "lose" and let Iraq fall apart (gotta save face, can't have another 'Nam)...
I guess no one cares anymore... unless it's our guys maybe...
I'm very interested in the "war" fatalities so far in Iraq and Afghanistan...
I've heard different figures from everywhere here and abroad, some as high as 152,000...
I don't want U.S. figs... They can't even tell us how many detainees we're holding captive...
BTW, I care about everyone over there (civilians especially) and it's time we end this expensive and messy "war." There is NO honor in what we're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan....
Don't deny it folks, our soldiers AND those countries' innocent civilians are dying and being maimed in vein.

An interesting note though...
The Nation - Editorial July 11, 2005
....Sen. Chuck Hagel, an influential Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, recently exploded, "It's like they're just making it up as they go along. The reality is that we're losing in Iraq."

1. Yeah, Chuckie thinks he's onto something here. But we've known it all
along so I don't feel like any congratulations are in order.

5. Slowly, the tide is turning towards Reality and Sanity...away from greed
and Delusion.

Bush has not done America any favors which was supposed to be HIS JOB. Instead, he lines the pockets of friends and contacts. Pure BS thrown in to cover his tracks...so much so, even staunch Pubs are looking for ways to save face for backing the Bush turd...

4. Yes, Chuckie-boy, they are. So a more intriguing question is why you keep
supporting everything they do.
