John McCain just said that this is the first time in history that taxes
have been cut during a war. 60 Minutes just had another broadcast on the LACK of armor for Humvees, (howeverthehellyouspellit), LACK of ammunition for the soldiers walking the ground. One officer did not give a straight answer but it was implied that the US has lost soldiers because the have not provided them with proper armor, training, man-power.

They're dead and Bush spends the money that should have kept them alive.

If there is an Anti-Christ it is GEORGE BUSH!

1. The term "duh" was never more appropriate....
then with this statement from McCain, one of the few sensible people on the Repugs side. Most of this country has never known what it means to sacrifice - but we'll be forced to, when the inevitable depression comes.

10. But McCain supported the great leader, Chimpy, in the election!
Gave him big hugs, complimented his "great leadership". McCain's credibility on anything is questionable. Evidently it's alright with him because he supported everything the evil doer's are up to in Iraq.

2. My vote is for Pat, Jerry, and possibly Billy as the possible embodiments
of the anti-Christ.

3. John McCain plays both sides...
...he supported bush during 2004 even though he had already seen that bush was sending soldiers to war who were not well equiped. He also knew about the tax cuts. But, he supported bush and criticized Kerry anyway, just to position himself for 2006.

I don't think he is in a position to speak out on this issue now.

5. Agreed.

He's a punk. At one time he seemed like he might actually have a backbone and break from his party when he felt something wasn't right, but he's nothing but a line-towing Repug drone now. I don't think there's anyone in that party who believes, or at least acts on it, in fair play. Have you no decency, Repugs? Have you no decency, sirs (and madames)?

4. When asked why the Pentagon budget was going to pork....

McCain said, "I don't think this war has really come home yet to the United States Congress."

I thought I would fall out of my chair when he said that. Well look, you crazy-assed fool, it was the Congress that approved the goddamned war, and you were one of the biggest advocates.

Well, I tell you what, this war IS finally coming home to the U.S. Congress... it's called "when the chickens come home to roost", and it's not a pretty picture. Get your asses out of your heads Congress Critters and get these guys home NOW!!! :grr:

6. This is the first time in history we have had so many first times such as
an unrelenting assault on: the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights; the fiscal integrity of the Federal government; the environment; international law, treaties, organizations, and goodwill; and another sovereign nation through pre-emptive war. And tens of millions of ditto-heads clamor: four more years, four more years.

11. My dislike, but very-grudging respect for McCain
has turned into utter contempt. While his obvious bitterness is understandable, it is totally misdirected and that makes him a very unwise man.
