Barry McCaffrey on MSNBC talking about Syria
Kinda sorta hinted that we might be/ought to be going in there. The Ken doll who interviewed him set it up, also asking the question about Syria. It all seemed pretty scripted.

McCaffrey is testifying to Congress today about Iraq ..... and no doubt Syria will be on the agenda.

Makes me think ....... once again ......

1. I really don't like McCaffrey; he's such a blivet
and war apologist and, while tempering his comments of late, still thinks it's a great idea for the U.S. to stay the course/freedom marching/blahblahblah. RE: the war, he sees the glass half full and I surely don't.
Plus, where shall all the American warm bodies come from, not to mention stripping more from that money tree behind the wh?

4. McCaffrey thinks this war is stupid and that the Pentagon is lying to us..
about casualties, etc.

I like him. He takes the grunt's point of view, which is fine. But he's been really critical of nearly all aspects of this war.

To hear him on a national radio talk show say that he thinks the Pentagon is lying to us was really something.

5. Boy, not the impression I've gotten of him at all, and
he's been an MSNBC analyst for many months. I've heard him say nary a word of criticism about this war on MSNBC, nor have I heard him cast blame on the Pentagon.

6. That's really interesting.
He focuses on war fighting, mostly.

But he was very critical of a lot of it on the Diane Rehm show.

I haven't watched him in a couple of months. I'll have to try and catch him.

3. Haven't heard any mention of Syria
but I doubt it--McCafferty stated the military was at a breaking point.
