On a scale of 1 to 10, How pissed off will you be when.... |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 03:44 PM by mikelewis
Karl and Scooter walk away from this and this whole issue dies a quite death? Now, they may not but you have to admit, these guys have gotten away with worse, so it's not out of the question. The Supreme Court fight begins in a day or two and then it's Valerie Who? If that should happen, how pissed do you think you will be. 1-10.
On edit: If there is a horse trade, say Karl for a good Justice- would that affect your P.O. level?

having their whole criminal enterprise exposed. It starts with Plamegate, Goes to the Lies about WMD, Continues to Corrupt crooked 2004 elections, continues to crooked SCOTUS decision in 2000. The Whole CABAL is crumbling.

will the President still fire Rove. We may know the truth but we've known it for a while now. Still hasn't incarcerated anyone. And if you think the Grand Jury isn't interested in the Supreme Court fight, you're kidding yourself. Judges are just as political as Senators. They just hide it under thier robes.

34. A federal judge can seal the report of the Grand Jury |
|
It happened in the Rocky Flats Case, the Grand Jury handed down an indictment report and it got locked up tighter than the lid on a pickle jar. They can decide whatever they want but it doesn't mean that information will ever get out. If a deal was made to let Rove off the hook in exchange for a decent SCOTUS, a judge could seal the report and tuck it away for 3 years or more. The Democrats would agree not to make a stink about it and the deals done. The Grand Jury is a tool of the court, not the other way around as it should be. They control who sits on the Grand Jury and I bet the Jurors aren't always up to speed on Federal Law or feel confident in exercising thier power. There's been very few runaway juries so it's unlikely they'll understand that they are in control. If the Congress allows it to go away, it goes away.

The grand jury, special prosecutor, and judge are not going to stop their investigation, their indictments, etc. just because of a new SCOTUS appointee.
This may not be covered very well for a few days because of the SCOTUS appointee. But once M$M realizes that *** appointed a fairly non-controversial candidate, they'll pull Rove/Plame off the back burner and bring things back to the boil. Plus, what if indictments are handed down for the Veep's chief of staff?

9. RoveGate will survive the SCOTUS mud fight |
|
I predict.
If he nominates one of those nice ladies from the Fifth Circuit, who hasn't written much about anything to do with hard issues, the dems will roll over and ler her in.
Here's the deal. Smirky can't talk too much with Rove right now, because its kinda uncomfortable...ya know with the U.S. Attorney lurking around?
So he's talking to Laura, and Laura says: "nominate one of those nice ladies from the Fifth Circuit and the democrats will be nice to you and forget about Karl".
Since Laura and Smirky together have enough brainpower to energize a lightning bug, they'll think they are master politicians and do it that way.
SCOTUS nomination will be a non-event, and then its back to my favorite subject: RoastingPigKarlsFatAssOnTheBarbie.

and I'll be pissed. But not surprised. And you can't dance to it. I'll give it a 3.
A decent S Ct Justice (how likely is that?) is irrelevant. If we get one, it will be an accident.
The good news is that a protracted S Ct nomination fight will keep the Congressional Assholes from screwing anything else up in the meantime, one-thing-at-a-time simpletons that they are.
Edit: correct spelling error.

not pissed, not even surprised. I am, however, surprised that so much time is being devoted to this on the board. This is just another shiny object to distract the sheeple from what they're doing. Whether rove stays or goes, no longer matters, * is on his way out and will never run for another office. I predict they're going to play good nazi, bad nazi with his remaining years. Ram through a bunch of really objectionable policies, regulations, etc. and then they'll run somebody who's main position will be "vote for me, I'm much less nasty than him". I further predict it will work. Sheep are really stupid.

So it's a staged brownshirt vs. blackshirt affair, even worse.
At this point I'm quaking in fear of their putting me and my wife in a death camp (and frankly I have been for a while). I don't understand how people can fail to see that what these "neocons" are about is complete and total Nazism.

23. No one's going to put you in a Death Camp |
|
They may want to do it but they can't. At least not right now anyway. They may of course throw you in jail for some stupid reason and that's just about the same thing, but "death camp", not while I'm alive. This I can promise you. The German people did not have the benefit of a national network of patriots guarding thier democracy. They did not have the ability to transmit the truth at the speed of light to every partisan in their country. You have to believe that the German people would have eventually threw off the nightmare of Naziism. The Germans are good people, if a bit overly gullible. It would have taken them 5 times as long, if ever, to accomplish what has been accomplished by the "Bloggers".
Get rid of that fear for christsake and replace it with your faith in Democracy. Remember how many people have died and how many are dying today for that illusive ideal. Replace that fear with an iron-hard determination to defeat Fascism. If they want to instill a fascist dictatorship, they'll have to do it over my dead body! Fuck em. All men are created equal and endowed by thier creator with certain unalienable rights, Life, Liberty and the pursuit of good weed so they can all go jump in a fuckin lake as far as I'm concerned! And just for the record, if Karl walks, I'm going to flip my fuckin lid.

It's funny to see how the MSM is COMPLETELY avoiding Gannon though he had a part in this as well. He was deposed by the FBI and yet 'crickets'. He was planted in the white house, given special privileges and 'crickets'. I guess there's a few things they don't want to be reminded about. 'crickets' 'crickets' 'crickets'

but if and when it happens, it is likely to hit 8 or 9 at least briefly.
The saving grace is that for Rove the truism that all press is good press doesn't apply.
His role has been in the shadows doing dirty tricks or worse.
His name is becoming synonymous with svengali, rasputin etc.
In and of itself that is gratifying, and may lead him to not be able to do "his thing" as freely as he has been able to in the past.
And so much disdain and disgust is focused on him.
Disgrace can we say.
