I can't claim "knowing" him other than his effectiveness here in Illinois and seeing/reading about his style.

Unlike Ken Starr, he is not a passionate partisan of the GOP. He is passionate about the rule of law, however. He does not tolerate in any way, shape or form, "leaks" from his staff. When he has something, he's extremely thorough and doesn't go off on mad chases just to 'get' the guy. But, if there is wrongdoing, he WILL 'get' the guy.

A couple of weeks ago, I heard a reporter state Rove has testified 3 times. Last night, I heard it's five. Judging from this, Rove may VERY WELL NOT be the "target". But that does not mean he is free and clear.

Here in Illinois, our Governor went under criminal investigation under the radar. He went first after his aides...namely his politically well-connected chief of staff, Scott Fawell (sound familiar?).

Fawell was indicted and hard pressure put on him for Ryan's involvement. Eventually, Fawell's secretary/girlfriend/fiancee was facing jail time and Fawell sang like a bird.

That Fitzgerald has taken this long is a good indication, IMO, that he has something...something "very serious" as the judges who reviewed is papers have stated.
