Pfizer dude on WJ C-SPAN arguing
Edited on Thu Jul-21-05 08:11 AM by Skidmore
that medicine costs so much because we won't ration and really the prices are too low. Here we go. Is your life or your family members life worth less than a rich person's?

Profits? They had a good year last year cause they managed to keep their numbers the same as before. Poor babies are facing sending some patents "outside"--whatever that means.

These guys need to be non-profits.

1. Whining because they only get a 20 year patent - when it takes
10 years to develop drug. Boo Hoo. What he doesn't say it that much of the research money for the development comes from government grants - wonder if they pay that back before reaping the profits for their millionaire board members?

This guy is just another corporate shill. Reminds me of the day several years ago when all of the CEOs of the tobacco companies lined up before Congress and swore under oath they didn't have any research to prove that cigarettes didn't cause health problems. They knew they were lying, the Congress committee knew they were lying, the MSM knew they were lying and the people knew they were lying.

Don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

2. This CDO sees the common enemy of all business as
the federal government, which means that the people are the enemy.

3. I know someone who works for
pfizer in Boston and wants out so badly. He says money is good but it's not worth his soul.

They are more greedy are the inside than they show to the world.

4. My wife's grandfather always said ...
No matter what the economic conditions. ALWAYS invest in pharmaceuticals. Hmmmm, why would he say that? Maybe because he knew even 30 years ago that they were blood-sucking leech corporations.
