Thomas Dorr - Agriculture recess appointment--vote now in Senate
Looks like he was caught in blatant criminal activities defrauding the government during the time he was CEO of a coporate farm. Harkin followed up on this. Another * appointee with ethics.

4. Here's the transcript of a taped conversation...
... Mark Dayton used in his 2002 confirmation hearings for Dorr when Bush had nominated him for Agriculture Undersecretary of Rural Development (this might have been the reason why he was a recess appointment for the job--the agriculture committee wouldn't pass him out for a vote):

http://www.dayton.senate.gov/news/details.cfm?id=229362&&

Read through this transcript, and it's apparent that he's not only set up a family farm to be a series of family farms to avoid government limitations on subsistence payments, but he's also speaking to one of his family members who's a recipient of the trust who's not too sure that Dorr isn't screwing the family trust, too.

Cheers.
