Remember when he used to do the reports on Ken Starr's criminal "Whitewater" enterprise when he worked with Gene Lyons and Joe Conason at Salon Magazine. They were an "investigative team." Nice to see him back reporting.

IIRC, he quit Salon in protest of their carrying the Henry Hyde mistress story; he didn't think it was relevant or "fit to print." He seems to be kind of a flinty contrarian, but he's careful and definitely has been a leader on the Plame case.

and that brought back my memory. I wondered where he went after he left there and had googled him a couple of years ago but hadn't seen anything from him in on any of the Progressive sites.
