Congressional leaders of both parties have signed off on a proposal, being considered in Washington this week, to start Daylight Saving Time on the first Sunday in March and end on the last Sunday of November. They say it would save energy

When it gets dark, I don't go and run to the store. I like to just hang out at home and get ready for bed. I guess we need to know what is worse - burning gas on car trips or running light bulbs and TV's.

This is going to do nothing for energy savings, in fact as somebody earlier pointed out, it will increase energy use, since more people will be inclined to drive while it is light.

But there is always going to be X number of hours of darkness, no matter how you tweak the numbers, you can't stop the Earth from spinning.

More dumb shit our so called leaders are wasting their time on. Meanwhile people are dying, both here and abroad.

I work in an office all day.

i'd venture to guess at more than half of the population is indoors all day long.


we use electricity regardless of what the weather is doing outside.




that being said - idefinitely prefer more sunlight to less - that going to work in the dark, leaving work in the dark, during wintertime wreaks havoc on my well-being.
