MSNBC on London attacks: "This provides great fodder for the president"
...in his push to have the Patriot Act renewed.

No URL, sorry...this was just spewed by the talking head on "MSNBC Live." They also showed a clip of Bush saying it was an attempt by terra-ists to "shake our will, and they're not gonna."

Great fodder...HMMM. Reminds me of comments from another member of the Bush administration.

1. great fodder for fascists?
Perfectly timed to whip up "support" for the USA PATRIOT Act provision renewal vote. Odds of MIHOP... already high and increasing.

8. the attack was a huge flop
I don't why they are still covering it. They're actually helping the terrorists by this wall-to-wall coverage of the attack.

9. That's what they want....
you can't have perpetual war without an ambiguous enemy that can never be defeated (evil/terrorists). They are all in it together. Perpetual war and destruction of the social safety net to pay for it. Psycopaths!

10. Bush could eat a hamburger and they'd claim it supported his policies
The bombings clearly prove that Bush and Blair have failed at their "war on terror," but the media will spin it however Bush tells them to. MSNBC,owned by GE, formerly run by Jack Welch, a big Bush supporter. You don't even have to play six degrees of Kevin Bacon to connect every media story to the Republican Party.

MIHOP, LIHOP my ass. It's all in the spin, not the act itself.

16. New to the Forum
Nice forum and good point.

I don't know about the rest of you but I don't know how to be more pissed off right now. We have more ammunition than we know what to do with and the White House and their spin machine Fox News makes like everything is normal. On top of that, I bet Santorum and Chafee win and I would rather win than nominate a true progressive like Hillary Clinton.

15. So if the msm is promoting conspiracy theories,
and we can't trust anything they say, that must mean that the theories are manufactured.

So, that's that then.
