When Will Bush Fire the Convicted Criminals in His White House?
Evidently that's the new standard for misconduct, goes the Republican propaganda. That is despite pResident Weaksuck's earlier public promise that he'd fire anyone INVOLVED.

It's not enough that Libby and Rove are traitors who compromised national security; the little pResident will only fire those who have been convicted of a crime.

But in fact, a number of convicted criminals already DO work in the White House right now, beginning with the corrupt drunk himself (at least three arrests and three guilty pleas that we know of; Dubya's has never answered questions about his actual police record, except to lie about it).

Deadheart Dick has a drunk driving conviction, Eliot Abrams was convicted of lying to Congress, John Poindexter was convicted on multiple felony counts for his Iran/Contra activities, and there may be more. When are they going to get the axe? Oh, that's right...Chimpy was lying publicly AGAIN.

5. Still, if he wants to fire convicts, he's got some NOW
that he's not firing...shows just what a liar the corrupt drunk is.

2. In defense of Bush and Cheney...
Whew! Never thought I'd ever write that line! :)

However, while I think the crimes of Poindexter and Abrams should preclude them from government work, I don't think that a DUI should prevent anyone from running for office. Keep in mind how many politicians (many of them on our side) have admitted to marijuana use. Should they all be forced to resign as well?

7. Hey, who was it changed the line to "I'll fire anyone convicted"
I'm just pointing out that we know already that's a lie.

"Keep in mind how many politicians (many of them on our side) have admitted to marijuana use."
Yeah, but I don't hear Democrats posturing themselves as moral paragons, the way Drunky McCokespoon and his wretched gang do...

13. True enough.
It's a pity that hypocrisy is not a firing offense in government... then again, if it was, we'd have no government left.

20. No public record has been found yet...but
remember he was claiming he'd never been arrested in October 2000...until THOSE records turned up.

23. Indeed. But my point is...
We can't do anything about the coke conviction until someone finds a record of it.

8. Oh, I'm sure he'll come up with some dodge...
but pointing out that he hasn't fired the convicted criminlas he's already got working for him shows graphically that he's lying about firing Rove and Libby when the new deadline comes....

10. Sure seems like it, from his new promise...
"Bush added, "I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts. And if someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration."

http://www.democrats.com/node/5401

But then this humhole also said "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

There is a core of untouchables in the Bush administration... Those who cannot be asked to fall on their sword. I believe the untouchables are as follows:

Bush
Cheney
Rumsfeld
Rove
Rice

Maybe others. I'm not sure.

Bush has probably already written pardons for those who might get indicted.
