Max Cleland for Georgia Lt. Governor |
|
I've just been given confirmation that Cleland has begun an official exploratory committee for a run for GA Lt. Governor.

2. WOW....Great news. That would help us check into their voting machines. |
|
Cleland, Teresa and Kerry are close. He probably has healthy suspicions about the machines, too.

3. Oh how about Clark Cleland? |

I am a big fan of max hope he gets it. Any way I can make a small donation. I love max. His story is amazing and the repugs smeared him.

4. In Georgia, does the Lt Gov run a separate campaign from the Gov? |
|
Or is he just gunna be someone's running mate?

8. Separate. Our Lt. Gov. is a Democrat and the Gov. is a Republican. |
|
Ralph Reed (:puke:) is running for Lt. Gov. He announced before the Indian Gambling / Jack Abramoff scandal broke. He may be weakened anmd Max is taking advantage of this weakness. Ha! :)

9. Separate campaign, and the Lt. Gov. has great power, too |
|
But I hate to see Max lower himself...Georgia is no longer worthy of him. (An interesting aside: Know who Jimmy Carter was saddled with as lt. gov. when he was governor? None other than former gov. Lester (axhandle) Maddox. And Carter was STILL the greatest governor Georgia ever had.)

11. The Republicans stripped the Lt. Gov's office of most of its power |
|
when Sonny Perdue :puke: was elected and three, traitorous newly-elected Democrats switched parties prior to being sworn in and, as a result, the Republicans gained control in the legislature. :(

16. I used to be so PROUD of being from Georgia... |
|
but now I never mention it. I live in Mississippi now, and at least they have nowhere to go but UP. Georgia has degenerated horribly in the past five or six years, and I'm so ASHAMED of the whole state.

18. My in-laws live in Mississipi and Louisiana. |
|
My husband's nephew actually moved from LA to MS so that he wouldn't have to live next door to a black family. :( That said, Mississippi is a beautiful state with lots of great people and culture. I hope that Georgia can be lifted out of the gutter in 2006. I was so depresed after Sonny Perdue was elected. :(

our beloved Democratic Secretary of State is running.
This should be a true test of Diebold - she was the one who ordered up the machines for us back in 2002.
If she's confident she can run and win using them - then i'll trust her on that.

6. Is that the race that Ralph Reed was running for too? |
|
We all know what his role was in the 2002 Senate race. Maybe this is Cleland's way of trying to deliver payback.

10. Yes, Ralph Reed is running for Lt. Governor. |
|
I detest Ralph. I recently leafleted (anti-Reed) a 4th of July event in Colbert,GA where he spoke. He attended UGA at the same time I did. He got fired from the student paper for plagarizing! He wrote a conservative opinion column. (Does this remind you of Ann Coulter. She just got caught plagarizing.) He lives in Duluth, GA (Gwinett County) where the runaway bride and her hapless fiance live. :(

7. Max was a great Secretary of State! He wouldn't have caved in to Diebold |
|
like Cathy Cox. I would love to see Max go head to head with that piece of shit Ralph Reed.
Mr. Cleland sent me a nice card of congratulations when I got my professional license in GA! I just love him. He's a good man. :)
No one deserves the kind of treatment he got form Saxby "sack of dogshit" Chambliss. :(

He should be going for higher office. Maybe it's important to see Ralph Reed lose. I am relishing that.
