"O'Connor Saddened by Attacks on Judiciary"
Edited on Thu Jul-21-05 05:30 PM by Sparkly
:nopity:
Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said Thursday she was saddened by attacks on an independent federal judiciary and on deteriorating relations with Congress.

Sorry, Sandra -- I lost all faith in an independent, impartial judiciary the day the USSC stopped the ballot counting in Florida and installed the Chimp as pResident (with a grand "victory" of 537 spurious votes in Florida, overriding more than 500,000 nationwide).

"There are concerns with some in Congress with judges painted as activists," O'Connor told lawyers and judges at a 9th U.S. Circuit conference.

Was there ever ANY decision as "activist" as "Bush v. Gore?" :nopity:

1. She is personally responsible for the political climate today.
She is personally responsible for the attacks she is "saddened" by and I hope she realizes she will have to answer for the hand she had in creating the deteriorating conditions that exist.

:argh:

2. look in the mirror Sandy D
Republicans have changed the tone, ethics and
direction of this country for the worse.
Ms. O'Connor can share the responsibility
for that due her partisan vote in Bush v Gore.

3. she can take Bush v. Gore and stick it where the Sun don't shine
It's her fault we're here. The neofascists failed in 2000 except for the Supreme Court "vote."

7. Dear Sandy....
that's what happens when you let Facists come through your door. Just because you answered the knock, doesn't mean that you and your brethens were gonna be exempted from the terrible things that Facism brings with it.

Now you know.

Sorry Sandy baby, but this is the life and the business you have chosen. It turned out to be quite lucrative for you, but now you wish to be loved, too. Perhaps Daddy should have told you this long ago, but since he isn't here any longer, here it is:

Sometimes life isn't unfair.

13. I should say, on challenges to Roe -- most recently the "partial-birth"
From NARAL:

The retirement of a single United States Supreme Court justice could have a dramatic impact on the constitutional protection of a woman’s right to choose. The two most significant cases dealing with reproductive rights in the last decade have been decided by the narrowest of margins, a vote of 5-4. While choice once enjoyed a comfortable majority on the Court, it now hangs precariously in the balance.

14. If the 5 dipshits that installed this clown in the white house had
done their jobs and kept their fat-ass noses out of somewhere they had no standing, we and they wouldn't be in this mess.

She and the other 4 have only themselves to blame.
