Florida is going to HELL
There have been Television advertisements, organizations and an attempt by the state to save the largest pristine "not fucked up by human hands" piece of wilderness in Flordia. Now it just came on the news that the Babcock Ranch has been sold to DEVELOPERS!

I've included a link to "Kitson $ Partners" contacts page. Please send them some emails. I am just sick about this as I am sure plenty of other people are. The wildlife here have already lost most of their homeland. Soon we will have Florida Panthers waiting at stop lights to cross the friggin street!

NOTE - Spell checker is not working so pardon any mis-spells.

A West Palm Beach real estate development company announced today it is buying Babcock Ranch.

Kitson & Parners said this afternoon it has a contract to buy the 91,000 acres that straddle Lee and Charlotte counties.

In a written statement, the company said it intends to continue operating existing businesses as is, but added that a residential community with outdoor recreation and conservation areas would be appropriate for parts of the Babcock Ranch.

How much of the land to be developed will be based on future conversations with the state and counties.

The company said it will seek public input and supports the effort to preserve a “large portion of the property.”

2. If you can convince all the Northeastern Seniors,
to not retire there, you wouldn't have half the problems you do.

As for me, I will gladly do my part. No offense to the "natives".

4. Most "natives" here don't like the Snowbirds coming down
I understand that is how many companies make their living but if everyone would just go away we'd be fine.

Even worse, is that the Everglades borders are being pushed back for Westin development.

It sucks.

5. Just remember...we have REALLY BAD HURRICANES....
So stay away...stay far away....I curse the invention of the air conditioner. A big front porch. a guitar and a glass of ice tea was all we ever needed.

I don't live in FL though, so this was really a pointless post.
