20. That would be a mistake.
By Feb 3rd, we will know better.

Tell ya what...if Edwards polls well today, he's on friggin' fire.

7. My prediction
*drumroll*

Edwards and Lieberman will do better than expected; there won't be a large gap between any of the candidates like there was in Iowa between Edwards and Kerry, especially since this is a five-way race now and Edwards, Lieberman, and Dean are moving up.

9. My guess is that
whatever happens will be something that none of the pollsters had predicted, but the pollsters will then go on making confident predictions for the next round of states, which the media will report as the Gospel truth, and various DUers will become either euphoric or suicidal on that basis.

Prove me wrong.

12. Then the news story will be
Edited on Mon Jan-26-04 01:44 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
"Who Sabotaged Dean?"

And if by some weird twist of fate Kucinich were to win, the headline would be, "No clear winner in the NH primary, but the top four contenders came in second, third, fourth, and fifth."

where is that 700CLub phone number.
Kucinich is my favorite. If Dean tanks in NH, I hope he endorses Dennis.

22. Dean's 2nd place finish will be touted as a victory
by the media.

The last thing they want is for anyone to drop out - too much advertizing revenue to be made.
