Now maybe Andrea Mitchell will begin to understand what's happening in USA
to citizens attending dimbot's appearances when they don't happen to be republicans:

-snip-

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050721/ap_en_tv/tv_nbc_mitchell_1

"Can you tell us why the government is supporting the militias?" she asked. After getting no reply from el-Bashir, she asked, "Why should Americans believe your promises?"

It was then that she was forcibly removed.
"It is our job to ask," she said later. "They can always say `no comment' ... but to drag a reporter out just for asking is inexcusable behavior."

Afterward, Mitchell said she was "angry, embarrassed, humiliated" and upset that she had become part of an attention-getting incident. "Reporters don't want to become part of the story," she said.

Rice demanded an apology from the Sudanese government for the incident and, an hour later, the government's foreign minister called her on her airplane. Mitchell, the wife of Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, said no one from Sudan has gotten in touch with her.

"I would rather see them live up to their promises," she said. "What they did to me is not important. They can't control my life."

1. I don't know about Andrea, but for this Gov't to be asking for help
and to be allowed to buy American repair items that they need, and to use this tactic is absolutely CRAZY!

I sure hope they realize WHY they blew their chances today!

3. I want her to say this.
After getting no reply from Bush, she asked, "Why should Americans believe you?"

4. Maybe andrea should ask some hard questions at home
instead of worrying about how many glasses are missing from Air Force I. anyone remember that about how the Clintons trashed the white house and AFI when they left office?

5. Andrea Mitchell is just a super-filthy-rich woman, married...
to one of the most powerful man on Earth. Why was she out there in a foreign land yelling across the room to a head-of-state. She made the story about herself and over shadowed the real inhumane problems facing the poor people of that land. Good job Andrea.

6. ANDREA WHAT THEY DID TO YOU IN SUDAN, TO DRAG YOU OUT FOR JUST ASKING A
QUESTION IS THE SAME THAT THE BUSH DICTATORSHIP DOES TO DISSENTERS HERE IN THIS COUNTRY.

if you don't believe me just ask the many dissenters who were arrested in NEW YORK during the REPUBLICAN CONVENTION... if they are hard to track, then just ask MEDEA BENJAMIN AND THE LADIES IN PINK who have been arrested several times over their dissent.

Ask the many, many, many, dissenters who are placed in PIGPENS far away from bush and his jackbooted goons ... and ask the nuns who were arrested and thrown in jail for daring to protest nuclear weapons.

ANDREA, YOU HAD TO GO OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY TO GET A TASTE OF WHAT BUSH IS DOING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ... you, of course, being of the elite, will probably NEVER UNDERSTAND THAT BUSH IS OUR VERY OWN EL-BASHIR.

9. Thank you FLORDEHIO JOS, my point exactly, which
all the other DU'ers prior to your post totally missed.

Didn't I make my self clear?

You laid it out well Medea. Thanks

17. But she'll NEVER see it here. She's a "respected" journalist, no
one here would refuse to answer her questions...

...because she never has any, have you noticed? She just echoes the conventional wisdom everyone else reports on.

Precious few of the poodle press understand that a free press and quality journalism is essential to democracy.

Note how all hell broke loose in Iraq because they closed down a newspaper.

Perhaps Ms. Mitchell will notice when they shut down NBC. :eyes:

7. Kick!
Please let somebody SANE start paying attention! (My biggest regret is that is takes first-hand experience for some people (Republicans like Nancy Reagan and stem-cell research) to figure it out! Why can't empathy be more common in right-wingers?

10. Too bad they didn't flog her
I wouldn't blame them if they did. She's a shill, a hack, and biased cause she's mrs. green$pan. In short, a prime example of our compromised media. No sympathy here; it's called karma.

Miller in jail, plus Mitchell getting tossed out on her ass like a drunken bar patron... it's nice to see karma working its magic.

14. Maybe, they didn't like her T-Shirt, or the sticker on her notepad, or
the label in her clothes, or the style of her hair. Why isn't she at home baking cookies for all the little Greenspans? Or why isn't she poppin' em out every year? You don't suppose that she might be on <horrors> birth control?

She will never connect the dots.

She didn't say a word or make a move. Just sat there and grinned. What an idiot.

19. She won't notice and she will never make the connection.
Her view of protestors can't be that different from KKKarl and GWB's, they are annoyances to be dealt with by the "help." They get in the way of her carefully staged shots.

To me, the similarities are striking, but Ms. Mitchell will remain blissfully unaware.
