As you C-SPAN watchers know, you have to get 60 votes to stop the debate. In other words, if the Democrats attempted a filibuster at this time, the chances are that Roberts would get enough Democratic votes to stop the debate and he would be affirmed as a new Supreme Court Justice. For those that are thinking "filibuster", most likely it will not work with this nominee. It appears to this untrained eye that the battle will have to be over the next nominee...
