10. Lawdy, my two favorite posters; yes, he's a tool and a fool |
|
Hopefully the wistfully-eyed nincompoops on the left who keep saying that he's a decent chap will get a whiff of reality: he's not a friend.
He's pretty hard right, and even after having been repeatedly screwed by his own people, he still thinks he can make good. He wins the Bill Clinton "they'll love me yet" award, and he doesn't even know it. The right will use and undercut him as long as he's a functioning politician, and if he lives long enough to retire, they'll laud him to silence him.
It's hard to think of anyone in that party who's been more deliberately sabotaged than him, yet, like Clinton, he still thinks he'll be allowed to exist if he sucks up to the status quo and smiles. Beyond any judgment of his political beliefs (which are standard reactionary feudalism) he should be cashiered simply on his judgment: he's been a hardworking foot soldier for the very forces that have fucked him and will continually block his dreams of conquest.
Truly, in the Reaganite sense of selfishness, he's an incredible failure. Trudging on as a point man for the party's ugliness, he carries their water and will never drink a drop.
Good. There are few notables among the reactionaries these days, may they all dishonor themselves and render themselves unviable.

He is using them as well. He'll go out there and spew the republican line on this at the moment, then when the big shoe drops and the ugliness of it all is out for everyone to see - well, then he will get back up on his high horse and wrap himself in self-righteousness and condemn them.

7. McCain has lost all integrity. He betrayed his own family for * |
|
I used to think he was alright. A maverick and one who broke party lines on issues that mattered to him. But when he showed up on the stump with *, I knew he had utterly sold his soul.
Even his own daughter was appalled and asked him, "how could you?!" (campaign for *) Bush's 2000 campaign had viciously smeared McCain and even sunk to implying (via push polls in Southern states) that he had an illegitimate black child (his adopted daughter is from Bangladesh). After that cruel smear, if McCain had ANY integrity whatsoever, even a trace of respect for himself or for his own family, he would not have campaigned for Bush.

8. Not for Bush - for the 2008 nomination. |
|
That's all he wants. And he will lie down with dogs to get it. Someone pass him a flea collar please. No - on second thought - don't.
