I finally got to hear her speak one-on-one. I missed her 2 interviews yesterday.

7. I caught the very end by chance..

just turned on the TV and there she was. Katie Couric asked her a question about whether it was right for people to criticize Ms. Dean for not campaigning with her husband and Gert replied no, people should follow their hearts and women have fought too hard to be independent. She said Dean shouldn't take any hits for that, it's unfair to expect women to fit a mold. I'm paraphrasing, but she came off as gracious and sincere.

She is thoughtful and composed. I loved her answer about Judith Steinberg Dean. She said that each woman should make her own choice and that as women we shouldn't criticize another woman's choice. We should be beyond that. What a terrific woman.
