what if we just call it the Whitehouse Affair? after all, it all took |
|
place there, and it's so far-ranging and encompasses so much of the evil that bushco is about... the wmds, the rush to war, the smear campaigns, the yellowcake fakery, scotty's lies and stonewalling... and the more that's revealed about it, the more complex and intertwined it all becomes.

4. Which makes that name all the richer in nuances. |

This "affair" was ever so much more devastating to this nation than any "affair" Clinton was having while in office. Yes these were consenting adults lying to the nation and the world with serious consequences. Rove, Cheney, and whoever else were involved were consenting to collectively screw the nation. "White House Affair" seems appropirate on many levels.

When are people going to realize that it sounds trite and simply annoys people at this point? Plamegate, Traitorgate, Treasongate? they all sound f'ing ridiculous. Call it what it is. Treason at the highest levels of government. We don't need a friggin soundbite.
