3. The RW pundits gush about how loyal our great leader is to his |

loyal servant, who was unfairly smeared by the libruls. The division between the Kool-Aid drinkers and the rest of American becomes even greater. Another king-sized distraction becomes necessary ....

4. Convicted, and he goes to jail. How could he do his job? Appeal? |

If so, and kept on, Bush's approval would be at 25% (yes, he'd even lose 5% of his loyal "30-percenters".
The Dems would sweep Congress in 2006, and if Howard Dean ran for president and did nothing but the "Dean scream" all day, every day, on the campaign trail (and in the debates), he'd STILL win.
Okay, I exagerrate. but you get the picture. Bush would be toast.

7. He'll be pardoned. But will he then have to testify? |
|
He will no longer be able to plead the 5th, but could the pardon be drafted in such a way (or be deferred to such a time) that Rove will not have to talk to the grand jury???
And what would he say to the grand jury if he testified truthfully? Who would he imlicate? Cheney? W?

13. if Rove is convicted he will be formally "let go" |
|
Informally, he will still be doing whatever he is doing now. His office will just be at Club Fed. All it takes is a phone.
